Good Morning ♥️ Someone asked what the am I doing with these photos. They said, ‘I don’t get it.’ So here: In social media it’s very hard to come across as authentic & be yourself. This is just pieces of me, what I do and experience everyday. Not just jewelry but life… a good life, appreciating life & beauty, love & death… To tell the story of an artists life. A peaceful life of harmony, balance, hard work, creativity, one with the earth (a goldsmith works with the elementals of the earth in their hands every minute: Au, Ag, Cu, Fe, Co, O, Ar, Pd, Pt, W). My landscape photo starts my day. I use to love doing that and ran out of time to do that. I decided I needed it back in my life. That photo is taken while I’m on foot or bike usually while in nature (sometimes I visit a city). I leave my doorstep wherever I am at 4am. The photo is taken & posted as I am standing right there. Everyday is a mini adventure. If I could share with you all the things I’ve seen you wouldn’t even believe me. This morning was right out of a fairytale. I try very hard to share this morning sunrise moment with you. 99% of the moments are impossible to capture & absolutely breathtaking. The Good Morning Blueberry Photo: go to work, start your day with taking care of yourself, eat well, have an intentional start. Then wholeheartedly go to work with purpose, intention, meaning, & care. Now I hope this all makes sense. Be well. ✌️😘 I have to go make a ring. Enjoy your day. xo- joy

I’m looking for this piece of jewelry. It was sold to a guy about 20 years ago. I’m pretty sure his name was Dan. I’m pretty sure he lived in Neenah WI. It was in the Bergstrom Mahler Museum in a special Viking Era Exhibit, again, 20 years ago. He found me through them. He might not even be alive? I’ve been watching eBay for it. I realize there is a snowballs chance in hell of it surfacing but I’m throwing it out there. Would love for this piece to come back home.

Someone asked why we have to refine all our own scrap because it’s not being accepted at refiners. You’ll have to ask Wall-street. They control the costs of my ‘lumber’ (silver/gold) and what happens with it. This is how it’s done. This is VERY economical with gold. This is NOT economical with silver (on small scale like in my studio) but we don’t have a choice at the moment. Gotta be done. Whew… sweaty job. I did launch myself off the ground the other night when the handle let loose 😂😂😂 slow down Joy, jeez… patience I don’t always have.

Close up of the "Crane" Necklace. Made out of sterling silver, ocean jasper, and tsavorite garnet. There are two ocean jasper stones. The one on the top is an oval shape with pointed ends. The one on the bottom is a triangular shape. Both of them are dark green with light gray spots throughout them. There is a small circular tsavorite garnet separating them. There is an engraved frog near the middle of the necklace on the left side, and a lily pad on the bottom of the necklace. There are two dragonflies on the right side of the necklace. On top of the necklace is an engraved crane that is standing in a marsh like setting. There is a dragonfly on the left side near the top of the necklace as well as two lily pads. The pendant is attached to a leather chain with jump rings. Necklace is laying against a dark background.
I purchased The Crane, a gorgeous necklace in their series Marsh Collection. It is truly stunning, the workmanship is really amazing, so eye-catching and delightful to look at. It has two nice Ocean Jasper stones and my favorite Tsavorite Garnet, providing the perch for the etched crane. I am a delighted customer! - Ellen D.
Close up of "Robin Ivey's" Bracelet. Made out of oxidized sterling silver. Casted heart in the middle of the bracelet, with an angel wing on each side of the heart connected with jump rings. Lobster claw clasp on the back of the bracelet with a cross and smaller angel wing. Custom tag on the back with coordinates. Set against a dark background.
Joy designed and created a piece, a bracelet version of the above necklace, to memorialize my late husband that recently passed. She personalized it just for us. Inside the halo heart are my husband's ashes & a lock of my hair. They are forever encapsulated in resin, with the entry point left open so his ashes are always in contact with my skin. Joy made taking a vision & making it a reality, something very special. All handling of his cremains were done with the utmost respect. I love the roadie earrings! I wear the every day, never take then off. I do forestry work and they withstand me putting on a helmet, bandana, and ear muffs every day!
