Will have power for the first time at this show…yippeeee!

Shown in the picture is a deep cycle marine batter with an inverter. The inverter converts the DC to AC power. Half of my lights are DC powered and the other half AC power. After the Bead and Button Show I should have all DC lighting. Those you can connect to the battery directly without the inverter. Why do I want to do this? The inverter uses up power as well as the lights. My goal would be to have the lights run all weekend without charging the battery. Excited to have lights! Jewelry looks awesome lit up!

Battery $80/weighs a lot don’t hurt your back -about 50 lbs
Inverter $60/800 watts (don’t get a cheap one)

This next picture is for Tammy Rae!! It’s her hands on display at the Flying Pig Gallery. Her glass has stainless steel screws embedded into it. You can mix and match by changing out glass and metal parts to different styles and colors with rings and pendants. It’s very cool. Check her put at glassbytammyrae.etsy.com

See ya soon Tammy! In Milwaukee!

  1. Very nice, I always learn so much from you. You are so creative, talented and generous with your explanations!

  2. Thank you so much for posting this! I was looking for an affordable alternative to purchasing hydro/lights from a show (this can get very, very expensive) and your post came just in time. Awesome idea.

    1. Make sure when you are buying lights that they are be LEDS. This battery would not support Halogen Lights.

      Check out these lights: http://www.caberlight.net/LadyBug.php
They are Led lights and will connect right to your battery without the inverter. I will probably switch over to these lights instead of using my current lights which have the big AC adapter boxes on them and my led bulbs on those lights say ‘AC’ only on them… ??? I am not an electrical genius just reading the directions….??? for everything and don’t want to use something that specifically says that on it. If you look at the Lady Bug lights they also have a 6 way connector that will hook all your lights up in one continuous strand without any extra plugs or cords.

Really nice because right now I use a zillion cords, AC boxes on them and they only fit two lights to one power strip. It’s a ridiculous set up. 6 power strips and 50 feet of extra cord for a 10×10 booth….. Under my show tables is a jungle of AC boxes, power strips and extension cords. That is going to go by the wayside, yippee again!!!!!

PS: you can also power up your laptop, iPad, phone, etc…. on the go. Nice bonus.

      1. Again, thank you! I have bookmarked the Ladybug lights. Very elegant solution indeed. Btw, I am a big fan of your work!

Well, you are welcome, and you are certainly succeeding on both counts ;-)!
